*Why was this month so blessed for our campaign?*
_1. *Meaning: “The First Spring”*_ — The name _Rabi al-Awwal_ means _the first spring_. Just as spring brings new life from the ground, this month brought new life to our Masjid project. _224 new founders_ planting seeds that will become _Sadaqah Jariyah forever._
_2. *The Birth of our Beloved Prophet ﷺ_*— This is the month _Prophet Muhammad ﷺ was born_ on a Monday. The Prophet ﷺ himself said: _“On it, I was born and on it, revelation was sent down to me.”_ What better month to honour him than by following his Sunnah and building a house of Allah (swt)?
_3. *The Hijrah & The First Ummah_* — In this same month, the Prophet ﷺ made _Hijrah from Makkah to Madinah_, providing a safe space to create _the first Ummah_. You are doing the same — building a safe home for the next generation in Watford.
_4. *The First Masjid Was Built*_ — During Rabi al-Awwal, the Prophet ﷺ and Abu Bakr (RA) stayed in Quba and _laid the foundations of the first Masjid in Islam, Masjid Quba._ In this blessed month, _you laid the foundations of Masjid Al Ummah._
_This is a month of both immense joy and reflection_. A time to _learn about the Prophet ﷺ, replicate his perfect character and give Sadaqa._
